It is often accompanied by sensitivity to light and sound. It’s a complex condition involving blood vessels, nerves, and brain chemicals. Migraines can cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. It can develop because of factors like genetics, alcohol consumption, hormonal changes, or environmental triggers.

Symptoms

  • Migraine with Aura (Classic Migraine): Warning signs like visual disturbances, numbness, or tingling before the headache. The symptoms – severe throbbing or pulsating pain on one side of the head, sensitivity to light, sound, and smell, nausea and vomiting, dizziness or vertigo, and bilateral pain in the head occurs after a headache.

Treatment

If the symptoms are causing you discomfort and affecting your regular life then seek medical help. Preventive measures should be adopted and lifestyle changes like exercising regularly, staying hydrated, developing a sleeping and eating routine, and practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing, and meditation are required.
